This system is used to deliver the broadband connectivity to aircraft through out the world by Panasonic’ global Ku-band satellite network.
This kind of Wi-Fi service brings much convenience to passengers on many areas, such as e-mail, social media sites, internet etc.
Paul Margis, President and Chief Executive Officer of Panasonic Avionics, said, “Today’s launch is the culmination of this special partnership, and we’ll look forward to working with China Eastern over the months ahead to roll this service out across their international network.”
The service will initially be offered on a lot of routs including domestic airline services. Until end of this year, inflight connectivity will be realized on nearly twenty of China Eastern’s aircraft.
For China Eastern Airlines, inflight connectivity and Wi-Fi will be very helpful for them to connect their service support systems with passengers in real-time, which will make each guest experience better.
