How To Install A Satellite Dish Properly

How To Install A Satellite Dish Properly

When you are at home, you need to know the happenings around the world. You will, therefore, need a television to see the happenings. The TV needs to be connected to the satellite antennae for clear vision.

Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that any company offering a satellite dish for sale will provide installation advice, which is why Chaowei Antenna Group is now offering a manual to help you accomplish the task. Follow these steps keenly when installing the satellite antennae.

Materials

You will need a drill, a hammer, a compass, a spanner, a marker, the dish itself, a wall mount, connectors, washers, screws, a receiver and a roll of coaxial cable. You should also bring along a PCI card/USB receiver.

Process

  1. Start with the mount

Make four holes at a vantage point, preferably on a wall. Afterwards, hit the expansion bolt so that it allows for the placement and tightening of the nuts. Ensure that the flat gasket and spring washer are fastened securely.

  1. Move on to the reflector

At this point, you need to know where to place the Low Noise Block (LNB) in such a way that it is effective in receiving low level microwave signals and amplifying them without any obstructions. Follow the position sign so that your satellite rests in a location that opens it up to the reception of positive, non-disruptive signals from all around. You can tweak things a little to obtain the best possible position.

  1. Debugging the antennae to align your satellite

Here, angles will matter a lot. For example, the pitching angle used will determine the strength of the signals acquired. Horizontal angles are also worth considering, as is the polarization angle. The latter refers to the curve where the principles of polarization are met. All these positions may not be so easy to point at, but the beauty of it all is that you can make the use of various free dish pointer software available online.

  1. Connect the available cables

Here, you will need to know what goes where. This is because the wrong combination could lead to disruption or a total failure of signals to hit your television. Coaxial cables are the best choice, as their signals are known for stability and minimal interruption. Do not panic when it comes to deciding what goes where, because most of the cables you have at your disposal will have very specific labels.

Connecting the dish to your television system should be done carefully so that each bus fits snugly at its end. You can check how effective your installation process by tweaking your cables until some sort of signal registers on your television set. There is no harm in trying several positions to ensure an exact placement. At last, you can enjoy watching your TV.satellite dish Installation2
